Astriid and InoCrowd have signed a long-term partnership meant to create work opportunities for skilled individuals ignored by traditional recruitment channels: those living with long-term health conditions and their carers. This pool of people will usually need flexible working conditions, something that the Covid-19 pandemic has this year turned into a mainstream concept. The individuals will be matched with corporates looking for solutions to very specific business problems.
“We have over 1,000 qualified individuals in our talent pool and we are in a perfect position to help InoCrowd deliver the level of professionalism it seeks, to its corporate clients. This opens the door to a wealth of talent to corporates from around the world, as companies increasingly realise that business performance, especially given the current times, benefits most from identifying the right talent, not from having an army of people doing the usual 9-5 job in the office. Talented individuals will, as always, be key to generating and driving innovation.”
Steve Shutts, CEO of Astriid
“What we are looking for is being able to deliver quick, innovative solutions to the problems our clients are facing. InoCrowd is built as a platform for those open to thinking outside the box when it comes to problem-solving. As such, it only naturally follows that we would look for ‘unconventional’ ways to identify the best possible individuals to deliver results, wherever they may be. We are solution-driven, therefore daily schedules or being in the office are things that do not play a part in our offering. We are excited about Astriid’s talent pool and we look forward to working with these competent individuals,” Soraya Gadit, CEO and Founder of InoCrowd, added.
InoCrowd’s system is based on challenges (posted by companies, also called ‘seekers’) and solutions (identified by individuals, also known as ‘solvers’).
InoCrowd has already placed its first two challenges to Astriid’s talent pool. Both are niche challenges but just the sort of questions that can be addressed by a suitably qualified specialist in Astriid’s talent pool.
– Finding an alternative sustainable pre-treatment for metals. The main issue is to identify a possible chemical solution or process for alternative pre-treatments for metal surfaces such as steel, galvanized steel, and aluminium, prior to coating.
– Identifying an innovative solution using artificial intelligence techniques based on a Software or an informatics matrix. The intention is to virtually assist the Specialist Physician in Clinical Pathology with laboratory bio pathological result validation, in the reduction of the necessity to hire more specialist physicians, or in the maximization of the quality of the operation performance.
Astriid is a UK-based charity founded in 2018. It works with companies to support individuals living with long-term health issues find meaningful employment or volunteering opportunities. The charity has a talent pool of over 1,000 individuals, has partnered with some 230 companies, and has enjoyed the support of over 100 volunteers since its inception.
Founded in 2011, InoCrowd is an open innovation platform that connects Seekers (companies) with a challenge and Solvers (people) with a solution, enhancing and accelerating innovation in companies investing in research and development (R&D). InoCrowd uses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to match with more than 1.6 million registered solvers and leading to a success rate higher than 95% within 30 to 60 days. If a Solver wins a Challenge by offering a valid solution, they receive an award plus the cost of the development of the solution, the awards can be between 5,000 and 100,000 Euros.
